Seashell Suncatchers - "Blending Art and Nature" by Richard Smith
Richard Smith moved to Port Maitland from Winnipeg in 1986. Inspired by the landscape of Nova Scotia, his art is created using shells found on the beach. Shells are filled with resin, painted and a hole is then cut in the back to allow light to shine through. These unique works combine artistry and the scenic beauty of Nova Scotia with shells found along our shores. They are indeed worlds within worlds.
Note: Each piece is unique and our stock is continually changing. Please contact the Gardens Shop for our current inventory.
Prices range from $39.00 to $97.00. Available in Scallop Shells, Mussels, or Rock Crab and in a variety of sizes and colours.
