Evangeline for Young Readers - story by Hélène Boudreau and illustrations by Patsy MacKinnon

The classic tale of Evangeline and Gabriel comes alive for young readers. With simple and evocative prose and stunning watercolour illustrations, Evangeline for Young Readers tells the story of two young people living in Grand Pré in the eighteenth century. Their lives are idyllic until they are separated during the Acadian Deportation. Evangeline spends her life searching for Gabriel and missing her homeland.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s most famous work, the epic poem Evangeline, has been loved by readers since 1847 - and now young readers will be able to experience the riveting Acadian story for themselves.
